Judges 3:1 King James Version (KJV)
    3 Now these are the nations which the Lord left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;

    Recovery Version

    Judges3:1

1And these are the nations that Jehovah left in order that through them He might test Israel (that is, all who had not known all the battles of Canaan),

    These are my thoughts.

God will tests in our lives, this is so we can further grow closer to Him.

Judges 3:2 King James Version (KJV)
    2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;

    Recovery Version

    Judges3:2

2But only so that the generations of the children of Israel might learn to know war, at least those who had not previously known the battles:

    These are my thoughts.

We God’s children are going to know war because this world is against us because they are against our Lord.

    Judges 3:3

KJV3Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.

Matthew3he lefte the fyue Lordes of the Philistines, & all the Cananites, the Sidonites, the Heuites that dwelt in mount Lybanon: euen from mount Baal Hermon and Hemath.

    These are my thoughts.

We need to leave this world and follow the Lord.

    Judges 3:4

KJV4And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

Bishops4Those remayned to proue Israel by, and to wyt whether they would hearken vnto the commaundementes of the Lorde, which he commaunded their fathers by the hande of Moyses

    These are my thoughts.

God will leave things in our lives to test us because it is by us tested that we draw closest to Him.

    Judges 3:5

KJV5And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:

Bishops5And the children of Israel dwelt among the Chanaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Pherezites, Heuites, and Iebusites

    These are my thoughts.

We as Christians live among the world just as they lived among the nations.

    Judges 3:6

KJV6And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.

Bishops6And toke the daughters of them to be their wiues, & gaue their own daughters to their sonnes, and serued their goddes

    These are my thoughts.

Let us not fall into this rebellion.

    Judges 3:10

KJV10And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.
Bishops10And the spirite of the Lorde came vpon him, and he iudged Israel, & went out to warre: And the Lorde deliuered Chusan Risathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hande, and his hande preuayled against Chusan Risathaim

    These are my thoughts.

When we the Holy Spirit we have won the war over our sin we just got to fight the battles.

    Judges 3:11
KJV 11 And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
Bishops 11 And the land had rest fourtie yeres: and Othoniel the sonne of Kenes died

    These are my thoughts.
When we follow God we often have a peace now for us Christians this could be a peace because He is leading us thru battle.

    Judges 3:12

KJV12And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.

Bishops12And the children of Israel agayne committed wickednes in the sight of the Lorde: And the Lorde strengthed Eglon the king of the Moabites, against the children of Israel, because they had committed wickednes before the Lorde.

    These are my thoughts.

They turned away from the Lord so the Lord made their enemies ready to overcome them, we as Christians allow this to happen in our lives but we should be getting right with God anytime we are not.

    Judges 3:13

KJV13And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.

Bishops13And this [Eglon] gathered vnto him the children of Ammon, and the Amalekites, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the citie of Panlme trees

    These are my thoughts.

The world may stand against us Christians.

    Judges 3:14
KJV 14 So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
Bishops 14 And so the children of Israel serued Eglon the king of Moab 18 yeres

    These are my thoughts.
They served the king because they first rejected serving the Lord. When we don’t serve the Lord we fall into service of something else.

    Judges 3:15
KJV 15 But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.
Bishops 15 But when they cryed vnto the Lord, the Lord stirred them vp a sauer, Ahud the sonne of Gera the sonne of Gemini, a man lame of his right hande: and by him the children of Israel sent a present vnto Eglon the king of Moab

    These are my thoughts.
We cry to the Lord and He will move in His timing.

    Judges 3:16
KJV 16 But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh.
Bishops 16 But Ahud made him a dagger with two edges, of a cubit length, and he did gird it unto his raiment upon his right thigh

    These are my thoughts.
Do we hide weapons or do we boldly proclaim the word wielding our sword of the Spirit.

    Judges 3:17
KJV 17 And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.
Bishops 17 And caried the present vnto Eglon the king of Moab: (And Eglon was a very fatte man.

    These are my thoughts.
We sometimes give things to people of this world but we no matter what shouldn’t turn from God.
